Objectives
Alzheimer’s Creative Caregiving On October 28, 2009, Linda completed the Heart of America Train the Trainer Program and is developing a presentation based on the Missouri Alzheimer's Chapters' program Building Creative Dementia Caregivers. This program will be presented in multiple sessions and will be designed to meet dementia specific training requirements.
Quality Alzheimer's Care-Dementia Specific Training This program is designed for health care professionals providing care for persons with dementia. Linda draws on her Alzheimer's training through workshops, conferences, and advocacy to give an Alzheimer's overview. Her experience as a primary caregiver allows her to suggest creative communication and behavior solutions. The session wraps up with helping families cope when a loved one has dementia.
Alzheimer’s Voices of Experience Learn about Alzheimer’s from short excerpts of the heartfelt stories collected in Alzheimer’s Anthology of Unconditional Love. These true stories allow you to glimpse the lives of real people who have embarked upon an unwilling journey into the world of dementia. Linda gained invaluable experience in slice-of-life stories when she collected and edited the 37 true stories in Alzheimer's Anthology of Unconditional Love. You do not need to be a published author to write your own story--and no one can tell your story like you can! Learn what to include and what to exclude to tell your story in a compelling manner.
